Genesis – Send to the Universe
Klaus Dr. Weber
Genesis is a ritual for people who want to give their prayers, wishes and intentions an expression in the world. Tap, speak your message, and tap again. Genesis then modulates your recorded voice onto every path an iPhone allows an app, and sends it out: • Your voice plays from the speaker with a spacious reverb • Your voice travels on a carrier through the whole audible range, 20 Hz to 20 kHz • Your voice is shifted into near ultrasound (18 to 21 kHz) • The Taptic Engine vibrates to the rhythm of your voice • Screen and flashlight glow gently to the rhythm of your voice • Bluetooth LE (2.4 GHz) broadcasts your compressed recording in packets • Wi-Fi peer-to-peer (2.4 and 5 GHz) broadcasts it in packets as well Radio keeps sending until your whole message is out once completely — about 2 minutes for 10 seconds of voice. Genesis shows you the progress. Switch each channel on or off. Genesis shows you the frequencies and honestly explains what an iPhone cannot emit — such as infrasound or freely chosen radio frequencies. You can also write your wish: Genesis reads it aloud and sends it through all channels the same way — by radio even word for word as text. Or send silently, without voice. After every transmission, Genesis tells you exactly which channels actually ran. PRIVATE Your message really goes out: anyone nearby, or with suitable receiving software, could hear or pick it up. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi peer-to-peer can be switched off. The recording file is deleted after sending. Genesis sends nothing to the internet — no account, no ads, no tracking. ACCESSIBLE Genesis is fully usable with VoiceOver and announces every step. NOTE Genesis is a ritual and means of expression. It promises no effect. Young people and pets may hear near ultrasound — you can switch it off.
