Sangat: Riyaz with Harmonium

Sing it back, in sur. Sangat is daily riyaz for Hindustani singing. The harmonium plays each line in your scale, with the tabla and tanpura, and waits while you sing it back. Turn on Listen, and Sangat shows which notes were off. It is made for anyone practising at home. SING IT BACK TO THE HARMONIUM The harmonium plays a line of sargam and holds its last note until sam. Then it's your turn. Again plays a line once more. Repeat keeps it coming round, and a tap on a note repeats just its part. You can also sing along, with a breath after each line, or sing on your own to the tanpura. A SINGER BESIDE THE INSTRUMENTS Switch on the singer, and a person sings each line with the harmonium, or in its place. It needs the internet the first time it sings a note. SEE WHICH NOTES WERE OFF Listen draws your voice under the notes as you sing. The line is green while you're in sur, and amber where you go low or high. After each line it names what slipped, like "Ma low". Practise these then plays that part until you sing it in sur twice.
