World Below

Wondering which place is beneath your window? World Below combines your iPhone’s camera view, location and orientation with an offline place database to help identify places in the direction you are looking. Point your phone toward the view, allow it to find your position and orientation, and explore the place labels. Zoom for a closer look and tap to select a place. You can save still photos to your photo library. Place data is included on your device, so identification does not need an internet connection. Usable GPS reception and orientation sensors are essential. Aircraft cabins, small windows, reflections and magnetic interference can delay alignment or reduce accuracy. Labels are estimates; identification is not guaranteed for every visible place or every window position. Designed for curiosity, not navigation or operational aviation decisions. This version has no app account, ads or analytics service. Camera and location processing stays on your device.
