Sunrise – UDP & Sun Times
Menno van Luijn
Sunrise shows when the sun rises and sets where you are — and the times that matter for flying. Built for pilots, student pilots and flight school operations, and beautiful enough for everyone. WHAT YOU SEE • Sunrise and sunset for your current location • UDP start and UDP end (BMCT / EECT: civil twilight, sun 6° below the horizon) • Solar noon and total daylight • A countdown to the next event: "Sunset in 1h 12m" • Local time or UTC in aviation style (0542Z) with one tap ANY DATE Scroll the date wheel, tap the arrows or swipe across the sun's path to plan a flight days or months ahead. A SKY THAT FOLLOWS THE SUN The whole screen follows the real position of the sun: deep blue night with stars, pink dawn, bright day, golden evening. The sun — or the moon at night — travels along today's arc. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything is calculated on your device with the NOAA solar algorithm. No account, no sign-in, and your location is never shared with us or with advertisers. Works on iPhone and iPad. Free, supported by a single small banner. For planning and information only. Not for operational use: always check official sources such as the AIP.
