Troefmasters: Troefcall
Rajiv Mohan
Troefcall takes four people, and that is usually where it stops. Three others have to show up, and the club night is once a week. Troefmasters plays the seats that stay empty, so you can sit down for a game when it suits you. The rules are in there in full. You follow suit, you knock, you go for the kap or you play on for the bom. Scoring is 2, 5 and 15. A game cannot be shorter than seven tricks and it cannot run past thirteen. Playing alone On your own the app plays the other three hands. It plays to win, not to let you win. Afterwards you walk the game back, trick by trick. Playing together Make a table and pass on the code of four letters. Anyone who types it in pulls up a chair. If a seat stays empty the app takes it over, so you do not have to wait until there are four of you. Put your phone away and your seat stays where it is while the game runs on. Whoever waits too long loses on the clock. Come back and you are in your own seat again, even on another device. A club night Pairs and rounds, with a schedule that does not shift. Standings can go up on a screen in the room. Every pair gets one break, and whoever has to step away gets a substitute who hands the seat back on return. Daily puzzle One hand to play out. Every day a different one. At a table with strangers That code gets passed around, so now and then someone sits down who you do not know. Names that do not belong never make it in. If someone is being unpleasant, you report them with the flag at the top left of the table. That blocks them at once. You will not meet them again, at any table. Every report is looked at within 24 hours. Questions and complaints go to info@troefmasters.nl. The app is free, with no ads and nothing to buy. What you do outside the game is not tracked.
