Baby Tracker: Bottle Feeding
David John Giblin
Remember the last bottle. Share the little details of care. Baby Tracker is a bottle-feeding log for formula and expressed breast milk, with nappies and growth measurements in the same app. Use it on your own, or invite another caregiver to share your baby's records. MAKE EACH BOTTLE CLEAR Record the amount prepared and the amount left. The app calculates the amount drunk from the values you enter: 120 ml prepared with 30 ml left records 90 ml drunk. Use millilitres or US fluid ounces. - See the last logged feed and today's recorded milk. - Follow prepared and active bottles with a configurable timer, optional reminders and Live Activities. - Look back at feeding times, milk totals and wet or dirty nappies. - View your recorded feeds across the week. - Keep weight and length measurements over time. - Keep separate profiles for more than one baby, including an expected baby. SHARED CARE Choose a baby and invite another caregiver through iCloud. Share that baby's profile and feed, nappy and growth history, so you can both add and edit records. Other babies remain separate. The owner manages invitations and access. When one caregiver prepares, starts or finishes a bottle, remote Live Activities can reflect the change on the other caregiver's Lock Screen. Optional nappy notifications let you know when a pee or poo has been logged. Sharing requires iCloud and an internet connection. Changes wait to sync when a connection is unavailable. Live Activities and notification delivery depend on your iPhone settings and iOS; they are not a guarantee that another caregiver has seen an update. YOUR RECORDS, UNDER YOUR CONTROL You can keep using the app locally without creating an app account. Local tracking works offline, with no in-app ads or subscription. Sharing is optional. Starting it sends the selected baby's profile, family details and care records to Apple's CloudKit storage, with access for invited people. Shared changes and deletions can reach both phones. A separate service uses device tokens, identifiers and bottle timer information to deliver remote Live Activities. It does not receive baby names, milk amounts, milk type, notes or full care records. Save a password-encrypted backup, or export readable CSV and JSON files. You choose where to save or share them. CSV and JSON exports are not password-encrypted. Import a backup while keeping existing records. Keep a current backup outside the app and keep its password safe. Shared records are not a separate backup. Stopping sharing cannot erase copies someone has already downloaded or exported. Deleting the app or losing your iPhone can mean losing local records. BUILT BY A PARENT I built this for my own family, to make everyday bottle tracking a little easier. I hope it helps yours too. Dave This is a record-keeping tool, not medical advice. Bottle timers are reminders, not a milk-safety assessment or a schedule for when your baby should feed.
