Mafia: Host in Your Pocket
Matvey Kavtorov
Mafia (also known as Werewolf) with no host: everyone plays, and the phone narrates the game. And nobody closes their eyes. The town falls asleep — and the phone goes around the table and everyone has something to do at night — even the civilians. From the outside every move looks the same: same list, same gesture, same timer. So peeking is pointless and the lights can stay on. No host needed: the app deals the roles, runs the night, announces the morning, keeps the discussion timer and counts the raised hands. It spots a tie by itself and runs the revote — exactly where a human host decides by eye and the table remembers the evening differently afterwards. WHAT IS INSIDE • Open-eyes night: the phone is passed from hand to hand • Neural narrator voice, works offline, four English and four Russian voices • Three narrator styles — strict, lively, circus — plus seasonal ones for the holidays • Decks: classic, with a doctor, with a maniac — and with Mafia+: extended, Night City, Big company (12+ players) • Roles: mafia, don, sheriff, doctor, maniac, harlot, lawyer, werewolf, bodyguard, immortal, kamikaze, journalist • Day timer with pause, extension and a thirty-second warning • Voting: suspects, hand counting, ties, revotes, voting them all out • Final words for the player who leaves • After-game breakdown: who was who and what happened each night • Share the result as a picture in your group chat • Practice game for one: see how it works without gathering a table The game is saved: a locked or dead phone does not cost you the evening. 5 to 20 players. One phone per table. No internet required. A social deduction party game for friends, family and game night. Mafia+ is a monthly or yearly subscription with a one-week trial.
