A PDF417 barcode can contain more information than the details printed on the physical card. Some fields are intended for electronic reading and may not appear on the front or back of the document. The app reads the data stored in the barcode printed on each card and displays it in a clear, easy-to-read format. It supports all fields defined by the AAMVA standard, including: • Date of birth and calculated age • Name and other identity details • Driver’s license or ID number • Document expiration date • Address • Other fields available in the barcode (depending on the issuing authority) ≡≡≡ For Business Use ≡≡≡ The app can be used in retail, alcohol and tobacco sales, car rentals, hotels, hospitality, and other situations where ID checks are part of your work. It can help you serve legal requirements without adding unnecessary steps to your existing process. The app helps you check IDs for inconsistencies and possible signs of tampering. If you suspect that an ID may be fake, you can use the scan results for additional review. ≡≡≡ Attendee Counter ≡≡≡ The built-in attendee counter shows the current number of checked ID and driver’s license (DL) cards directly in the scanner view. This is useful for events, venues, conferences, and other check-in scenarios where you need to keep track of the number of scanned guests. ≡≡≡ Bulk Mode & Auto Save ≡≡≡ Use Bulk Mode to scan multiple IDs without stopping after each scan. When a document needs your attention, the app shows an alert and asks you to review the decoded data. You can set the app to save all valid documents automatically. If it detects a problem during scanning, such as a duplicate document, an underage person, or an expired document, the app asks you to confirm whether to save the document. ≡≡≡ Check Your Own ID Data ≡≡≡ The app lets you inspect the data encoded in the PDF417 barcode on your personal driver’s license or ID card. You can compare this data with the details printed on the card and the information you provided to the issuing authority.
