News refreshes automatically while you use the app. Your first two distinct articles are available without an account on this installation. Sign in for free before reading a third article, or to save bookmarks. Your account is created when you first sign in using an email code. No password is required. Bookmarks are stored on this device, separately for each account. They do not sync between devices. Internet access is required to validate your session and use account features. The Neural newsletter is a separate, optional subscription. Choose your frequency and confirm your email address to receive future briefings. Adjust the display to your preferences and find Defend content on the web, YouTube and the podcast. Journey analytics is enabled by default after sign-in, based on our legitimate interest in improving Defend. Screens, actions and active reading time are linked to the account and stored with no automatic expiry. You can object in More → Manage my account without losing app access. Existing objections are preserved. Objecting or deleting the account erases these journeys. Choose the text size and light or dark appearance. Manage article and brief alerts separately in the app or iOS Settings. New-publication alerts are generated when the app synchronizes.
