findme: Find Friends Festival
Alex Gameli Heyman
Lost your friends in a sea of people and your phone shows no bars? findme guides you straight back to your crew — even when the festival network is jammed and texts won't send. Built for the moment the crowd swallows everyone and your signal drops to zero. GPS needs no network, and findme's location pings are so tiny they slip through congestion that kills every other app. FINDS YOUR CREW IN THREE STAGES • Far apart: see everyone as live dots on a map you download before you go — fully offline. Honest "last seen 4 min ago" labels, so you always know what's fresh. • Getting close (~30 m): a Bluetooth radar locks onto your friends phone-to-phone, with zero network at all. • Last few meters: an AirTag-style precision arrow points the exact way and counts down the distance (iPhone 11 and newer). PICK A FRIEND, GET AN ARROW Tap anyone and the map becomes a compass arrow that physically points at them from any distance — with live distance and walk-time. Long-press the map to drop a shared meeting point, and the whole crew can navigate to the same spot. No more "where are you?? I'm by the… the tent??" MADE FOR CROWDS AND DEAD ZONES Festivals, concerts, raves, campgrounds, theme parks, hikes, and big venues — anywhere thousands of phones choke the towers and "where are you?" never delivers. WHAT YOU GET • Offline maps you save before the gates open • Live friend dots with real staleness labels • Bluetooth radar that needs no signal • Ultra-Wideband precision arrow on supported iPhones • Shared meeting points for the whole crew • Compass arrow with distance and walk-time to any friend PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No accounts, no sign-up, no phone number. • A crew is just a shared invite link or QR code — scan it and you're in. • Leave the crew and the key is gone. We never see where you are. • Works only while the app is open — no background tracking, ever. Stop shouting names over the bass. Open findme and just walk to your people.
