SVXConnect Portable
RF Guru
SVXConnect lets a licensed amateur radio operator connect to compatible voice reflectors over IP and transmit / receive voice from a mobile device. A valid amateur radio license and a signed client certificate from your reflector operator are required. Designed for everyday use on the go: tap PTT, talk, listen. KEY FEATURES • Direct reflector protocol support — encrypted control channel and secure low-latency voice audio over UDP. Works with standard compatible reflector systems and supported enhanced metadata feeds. • Talkgroup management — switchable and monitored TGs with priority preemption, manual linger, idle timeout, and lock-to-channel mode. “Fill from portal” can load the full TG list from supported reflector metadata. • Live map — reflector node positions on a dark map view, talker dots in red, decoded mobile stations in blue. Tap clusters to fan out overlapping dots. Floating recenter button snaps back to your QTH at a configurable radius. • Local 24 h history — when no enhanced reflector feed is available, the activity panel falls back to a locally built rolling log, configurable from 1 hour to 1 week. • Bluetooth PTT — supported headset media buttons can be used as a PTT toggle. Compatible Bluetooth remote buttons are also supported, with one button for PTT and another for next TG. • VOX voice-activated transmit — optional, with headset-only gating to help avoid an unintended open mic on the built-in microphone. • Background-friendly — low-power keepalive keeps the connection available while the screen is locked, with reconnect support and lock-screen media-button PTT. • Audio routing — wireless speakers, Bluetooth audio devices, wired headphones, and per-device microphone gain with separate sliders for device and Bluetooth input. • Callsign and reflector metadata lookup, roger beep, talkgroup voice announcements, manual or automatic QTH. SVXConnect is open in design and uses a standard reflector protocol with no proprietary lock-in.
