Zasder Weather is a clean, fast iOS app for personal weather stations. It's "bring your own backend" — point it at your own server and your station data is yours, end to end. No ads, no tracking, no subscriptions. Three source types out of the box: • AmbientWeather — your backend polls the AmbientWeather REST API on your behalf and stores history in SQLite. • Davis WeatherLink — cloud polling, or a tiny LAN poller next to a WeatherLink Live for ~2-second freshness. • Direct RF capture — a ~$20 LilyGO ESP32 board decodes AcuRite Atlas (433 MHz) or Fine Offset / Ecowitt / Ambient sensors (915 MHz) straight off the air — plus an optional discovery mode that picks up LaCrosse, Oregon Scientific, AcuRite 5-in-1 and towers, Auriol, TFA, and ~180 other station types. No vendor cloud at all. Features: • Multi-device dashboard — every station on one screen: current conditions, feels-like, a 24h temperature curve, day/night sun dial, and stat tiles for humidity / pressure / wind / rain / dew point / UV. • Charts — eight fields (temp, feels-like, humidity, wind, pressure, dew point, solar, rain) over windows from 1 hour to 7 days, plus a 16-sector wind rose. Tap and drag to inspect any point. • Alerts — thresholds for any field, per device or all devices, evaluated on your backend — email and push notifications arrive even when the app is closed. • Apple Watch app — your stations on your wrist: big current temperature, day high/low, a 24-hour chart, and feels-like / humidity / UV gauges. Works over LTE without your phone. • Watch-face complications — including configurable ones: show the exact reading you want (temperature, feels like, dew point, humidity, wind, or UV index) in corner, circular, rectangular, or inline slots. • Home-screen widget with your station's current conditions. • Units — °F/°C, mph / km/h / knots / m/s / Beaufort, in/mm, inHg/hPa. • A 7-day forecast pulled from Open-Meteo (free, no key). The backend is open source under MIT: https://github.com/volneydouglas/zasder-weather-backend It runs free-to-cheap on Fly.io or in Docker on a Raspberry Pi. A setup script (and a web planner at zasder.com/weather-helper) walks you through it in minutes. The app only communicates with the backend URL you configure in Settings. Optional tip jar via Apple In-App Purchase — purely cosmetic, nothing is paywalled.
