WHAT IT DETECTS Applied automatically, no review needed: • API keys and tokens: OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS, GitHub, Stripe, Slack, Google, Twilio, SendGrid, Shopify, Heroku, npm, PyPI, and more — 20+ credential formats in total • Financial: credit card numbers (Luhn-validated), IBANs (ISO 13616 mod-97 validated), NI numbers, US SSNs • Contact: email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses • Network: IPv4, IPv6, MAC addresses • Visual: faces, QR codes, barcodes Flagged for your review before redaction: • Personal names, organisation names, locations • Dates of birth, handwritten signatures BUILT INTO YOUR WORKFLOW Drop zone: drag any image onto the ShadowClip window. Detections appear as a review list — accept, dismiss, or add your own — then save the redacted copy. Share Extension: from Finder, Safari, or any app with the system Share menu, choose ShadowClip. Redact and save without leaving your workflow. Quick Action (macOS): right-click any image in Finder → Quick Actions → Redact with ShadowClip. Tier 1 detections run automatically; a small window shows the count and opens a save panel pre-filled to the source folder. PRIVACY BY DESIGN ShadowClip runs under Apple's App Sandbox with no network.client and no network.server permissions. It is an operating system constraint enforced by macOS and iOS — the app physically cannot make a network connection. Your images never leave your device.
