A pocket cocktail companion for the home bartender. 470 hand-curated classic recipes, each cross-checked against the IBA’s canonical pours, with optional alternate specs from Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s The Bar Book and house specs from Bar Neuf, Linz (2011). DISCOVER Browse the canon by base spirit (whiskey, gin, rum, tequila, vodka, brandy, wine, liqueur) or by drink type (sour, stirred, highball, sparkling, tropical, hot, creamy). Search by name or by ingredient. Every drink shows its glassware, ABV, prep time, ingredient list, step-by-step method, and garnish. MY BAR Tap the bottles, mixers, and aromatics you have on hand. The app instantly shows what you can make right now and what’s just one ingredient short. No more scrolling through hundreds of recipes you can’t actually mix tonight. VARIANTS Many recipes include multiple specs from different sources. Compare the IBA’s canonical Daiquiri to Morgenthaler’s slightly tweaked version, or see how Bar Neuf served their Manhattan. Switch between them in two taps; ingredients, method, and garnish update with the source. ADD YOUR OWN Can’t find a drink in the library? Search the web from inside the app — it finds the recipe, structures it into ingredients and steps, and opens it for you to review before saving. Or write one from scratch with the built-in recipe editor: name, glass, ingredients, method, garnish. Your recipes appear right alongside the classics, marked as yours. A recipe whose name matches an existing cocktail is saved as an extra spec tab on it. LIVE GLASSWARE Each detail view shows a live, hand-drawn glass with three-dimensional liquid layers in the right proportions for the recipe. Tilt the phone — the surface sloshes against the wall, the ice cubes slide and bounce off the cavity, and bubbles rise through champagne, soda, and ginger beer. OZ ↔ ML Toggle between US fluid ounces and metric milliliters in two taps. Your preference is remembered. JOURNAL Tap the heart on any drink to save it as a favorite. Tap “I drank this” to log the occasion — add a star rating and a tasting note, and every drink gathers into a date-grouped diary. Two weeks later you’ll still know exactly what that delicious cocktail was. Your recent searches and the recipes you browsed stay one tap away on the Discover screen. PRIVACY FIRST No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs, no tracking. Your favorites, your journal, your bar, your own recipes, and your unit preference live only on your device. The one thing that leaves the phone: when you search the web for a recipe, the words you type are sent to look up matching drinks — nothing else, never tied to you, and never stored.
