Slycora is a planner for adults with ADHD. Deep down you already know what needs doing. The problem is picking one. The first hour goes on deciding, and by the time you decide, the best part of the day is gone. Slycora looks at your tasks, works out which one matters most, and puts it on top. You can tap that task and read why it is there. If the reason is good, you get on with it. If it is wrong, you tell Slycora what it missed, and it scores the task again and moves the rest of the day around your answer. No app knows your life on day one, and after it puts the wrong thing on top twice you stop opening it, so this part matters. Your days are not equal. A plan made for a good day is impossible on a bad one, and going to bed behind every evening is what wears you out. Slycora asks how much you have got today and plans to that. What does not fit stays where you can see it and comes back tomorrow. Then the ten thirty call runs to twenty past eleven and the day is finished, because rebuilding it by hand costs more than you have left. You tell Slycora where you got to and it works the rest of the day out again in a few seconds. Some other things it does. An idea shows up while you are doing something else, and by the time you have opened the right list and picked a project and a date, it is gone. So Slycora gives you one box. You type the thing, badly if you like, and go back to what you were doing. It stays in one list until you have done it. "Sort out insurance thing" can sit on a list for months, because when you read it you still do not know what you have to do. Slycora rewrites lines like that into a task you can read once and understand. Sometimes you look at the top task and you cannot go near it, so you do nothing, and the day goes. Ask Slycora for something else and it gives you a task worth about as much that is easier to get into. The hard one is still there when you come back. On a bad day the list is the thing stopping you, and reading it again changes nothing. Two taps and the screen holds one task. The rest is still there when you switch it back. And while you are working, Slycora shows you the one task you are on, so you can check something without seeing the other thirty and losing what you were holding in your head. You can also tell Slycora what you are working towards in the long run. Whatever shouts loudest eats the week, and the things you actually care about sit still for months, so Slycora uses your goals when it works out what matters. The first days it knows little about you and some of the order will be wrong. Correcting it is how it learns. And it can only plan what you have written down. Put tomorrow in tonight and see what the morning looks like.
