This update makes scanning easier and tidies up the element passport. Scanning • "Record this member" is now "Scan this element", first in each element's actions. • Capturing a member's end is far more reliable. Small jumps in the LiDAR reading no longer stop the capture, and a moment's movement only pauses the ring instead of restarting it. • Marking where the member ends is quicker. The point starts where you aimed, so often you just confirm it, or drag it into place. • The Blue Book match now lists every section that fits, with how closely each one matches, best first. Placing points • Tapping the photo no longer places points by accident. Move the photo under the crosshair and press Place point. • Drag any point to adjust it, including suggested ones, with a magnifier so your finger never hides it. • After the second point, the screen stays put so you can check it. Tap Next when you're happy. Element passport • "Find openings" is now "Fabricated beams": it identifies a fabricated beam and calculates its shear capacity. • "Identify beam" and "Find and count openings in a photo" have been removed. • A 3D model of each scanned element is coming soon. • Guided photo capture is now available on projects that have it enabled.
