ACCURATE COLOR SCIENCE Precise Apple Log and Apple Log 2 → Rec.709 SDR conversion using a 64³ CIColorCube LUT. Preserves the full dynamic range iPhone Pro captures. Handles Apple Log 1 (iPhone 15/16 Pro), Apple Log 2 (iPhone 17 Pro), ProRes RAW (linear encoding), HLG, and PQ/HDR10 input. Drone footage and ffmpeg-encoded ProRes are correctly classified via direct colr atom parsing — DJI, Mavic, and other camera exports no longer appear as "unknown color." Output is properly tagged Rec.709 for universal playback. APPLE SILICON ACCELERATED Native YUV pipeline end-to-end — the decoder and encoder exchange pixel buffers in their preferred formats, eliminating memory-bandwidth waste. Core Image runs entirely on the Metal GPU with an asynchronous render pipeline so decode, GPU, and encode can overlap. Chip-aware: M-series Pro, Max, and Ultra machines run two or more batch exports in parallel automatically, with the resolved profile recorded in every batch report. When a clip is exported to multiple aspect ratios in the same job (typical 16:9 + 9:16 social workflow), the engine decodes the source once and feeds every output writer from a single producer pass — no duplicate work. SMART SUBJECT CROPPING Powered by Apple Vision, the smart-crop mode finds the human subject via face detection first, falling back to attention-based saliency for non-people content. The Vision analysis runs once per source and feeds every aspect-ratio variant, so a 4-ratio social cut doesn't repeat the scan four times. Multiple aspect ratios — Original, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 1:1 — with a single-click social-ready resolution clamp. Perfect for YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok. CODEC CHOICE - H.264 — universal compatibility, default for most workflows - HEVC — 50% smaller files with modern decoders. Outputs of 10-bit Apple Log sources are automatically encoded with the Main10 profile, preserving every bit of color precision through the encode. - ProRes 422 — 10-bit lossless, ideal for archival and color-correction handoffs AUDIO CONTROL Pick how each export handles audio: pass-through stereo (192 kbps AAC), true mono (128 kbps AAC), mono summed and duplicated to both stereo channels (for single-mic interview footage), or remove audio entirely. Defaults to pass-through stereo so existing workflows are unchanged. FLEXIBLE QUEUE Batch process unlimited clips. Add videos before, during, or after a batch runs.
