sideways - Rally GPS Navigator
OSCAR ALVAREZ SANCHEZ
Sideways is a virtual rally codriver for the road. Plan a route, and Sideways automatically detects every corner along it and rates it from 1 to 6 (plus hairpins and square turns). Then a virtual codriver reads the pacenotes out loud as you drive, so you always know what is coming next. FEATURES • Full route planner with multiple waypoints • Import routes from .gpx files • Custom corner detection algorithm with per-corner severity ratings • Demo mode with animated preview and codriver callouts • Live GPS navigation with voice pacenotes • Background navigation, so the codriver keeps talking even with the screen off • Save your favorite roads, and use them offline (no signal needed in the mountains) • Export pacenotes to a spreadsheet, in case you want to print them • 16 codriver voices in 11 languages • Dark, light, and satellite map styles WHO IT'S FOR Drivers who love great roads (mountain passes, scenic backroads, that perfect ribbon of tarmac you keep coming back to). Rally fans who have always wanted to ride with a codriver. Anyone who would rather know what is around the next corner than be surprised by it. Sideways is not about driving fast. It is about driving prepared.
