Coinquilino: Find a Roommate
Mert Yandmata
Find a roommate, rent a room, or list yours for free. On Coinquilino you send a request with a short note, and the chat opens only when the other person says yes. Where the listings are: most rooms and people on Coinquilino are in Italy today, in Milan, Rome, Bologna, Turin, Florence, Naples, Padua, Pisa and more. The app also works in the US and Canada, where listings are still few and new, so the best start there is to post your profile or your room and let people find you. Requests first, chat after Apply to a listing or send a request to a person with a short note. When they accept, the chat opens by itself and your note is already the first message. Only the person who received a request can open a conversation, so nobody lands in your inbox uninvited. Anyone can decline, and declines are quiet: no notification is sent. Every request you received and sent sits in one place, the For you tab. If you're looking - Rooms (single or double) and whole homes, with photos, price and area - A map with price markers, and filters for price, rooms, gender and more - Details like bills included, pets and smoking - A profile that says who you are, your budget and your city - Search together: team up with someone who searches like you and look for a place as a pair - Save listings to your favorites If you have a room - List a room or a whole home for free - Browse people who are looking and invite them to your place - See who opened your listing, for free, and invite them too - Close a listing when it's taken and reopen it later Trust - Verification: your phone number by SMS plus a face liveness check puts a verified seal on your profile. Three vouches from people who know you make it free; you can also buy it, and it's included in Gold. - Agency pages carry reviews from real clients. - Report a person or a listing at any time. - Incognito and "no invites" are free. - Chat and the For you tab have no ads. - Notifications arrive in your phone's language.
