The ‘Rhythm’ app is a metronome that is designed for users of the textbook ‘Rhythm’ by Erik Højsgaard to aid you in your advanced studies. The app has four features: • A metronome for all exercises in the textbook that deal with irregular time signatures, metric modulations, irrational meter, polymeter etc. In the textbook these exercises are identified by a tiny metronome symbol in front of the tempo marking. • A metronome that can be used for all other exercises. • A section to train the correct tempo-identification, ‘Tap the pulse’ • A section to identify the correct tempo, ‘Guess the tempo’ The metronome has a precision of ±20 milliseconds. The English and Danish version of the textbook is published by Aarhus University Press: unipress.dk and the Italian version is published by Volontè&Co: volontè.it.
