Cargadores UY is an independent app that shows EV charging points in Uruguay on a map, which UTE rate band you are in, and what charging costs compared with gasoline.
WHAT IT DOES
• Map of EV charging stations: public chargers from UTE and other operators, with an estimated status: available, occupied, out of service or no data.
• Search by name, city or address, with filters for connector, power, current, operator, department and availability.
• Sort by distance, name, power or rating, and a button that jumps to the nearest available charger.
• The current UTE rate band (peak, mid-peak or off-peak) with the price per kWh and the time left until the cheapest band starts.
• Estimated cost of a 20 to 80% charge for your car, now and off-peak, and how much you save by waiting.
• A per-100-km comparison of home charging (off-peak or flat rate), the public network and gasoline, with your monthly and yearly savings and the CO2 you avoid.
• Garage with several cars, a compatible-connector filter and, with your battery level, an estimate of what you will have left on arrival.
• On UTE's Triple Horario plan, pick your four peak hours and the app calculates with that schedule; it also compares whether switching plans pays off.
• Charge history with CSV export, favorites, local charge-end alerts and sharing.
• Community reports, check-ins and reviews; if a charger is missing, you can propose it and it is reviewed before publishing.
WHO IT IS FOR
People who own or plan to buy an electric car in Uruguay, and visitors driving one: Montevideo, Canelones, Maldonado and other departments. Available in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Works on phones running Android 7.0 or later.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the map or the list and search for a charger, or tap the button for the nearest available one.
2. Pick your car in the garage: the app calculates with its battery and consumption.
3. Check the band and the estimated cost, and decide whether to charge now or wait for off-peak.

PRIVACY AND COST
No accounts or sign-up, no ads and no in-app purchases. Your location is processed on your device (except to place a charger you propose), and your garage, favorites and history stay on it. Usage statistics and crash reports (no personal data) can be turned off in Settings > Privacy.
