GePG Tanzania

GePG Tanzania is the official mobile app of the Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GePG), provided by the Ministry of Finance. It brings government bills from many institutions into one place, so you can look up what you owe, pay it, and confirm your payment from your phone, in English or Kiswahili.

PAY GOVERNMENT BILLS
• Find a bill by control number, mobile number or vehicle plate number
• Scan the QR code on a bill instead of typing the control number
• See the bill details, including the amount in figures and in words, before you pay
• Get a payment prompt sent straight to your phone, then confirm it with your mobile money PIN
• See the other payment channels available for your bill
• Recently used numbers are remembered so you don't have to type them again

VERIFY PAYMENTS
Check that a payment has been received, using any of:
• Control number
• Mobile number
• GePG receipt number
• Bank receipt number
• Mobile operator receipt number
View the payment details, including the date the payment was received.

SERVICES
LUKU (prepaid electricity)
• Buy LUKU tokens for your meter
• Retrieve the tokens from your recent purchases

Water
• Get water bills using your account number

Parking
• Check TARURA parking fees and outstanding penalties using your vehicle plate number

Local Government Authority (LGA)
• Get LGA bills using your payer identification

Land Rent
• Look up land rent by region and district, then search by title number or plot number

Police
• Pay traffic fines using your vehicle plate number
• Report lost documents or items, such as a phone or identity card, in three simple steps, and pay the related fee

My Car
• Check outstanding bills for a vehicle using its plate number

Cargo
• Choose your cargo service provider and find your bill using the tracking number

RISITI NI PESA
Turn your TRA tax receipts into a chance to win.
• Scan a receipt with your camera, or enter its verification code by hand
• Keep track of the receipts you have submitted
• See the prizes on offer, including cars, cash, houses, motorcycles, bajaji and insurance
• See recent winners and read the rules in the app
Only receipts issued by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) are accepted, and each receipt can be submitted only once.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY
• The app checks that your device has not been rooted or tampered with
• Requests are protected with Google Play Integrity
• Recently used numbers are stored encrypted on your device

GePG Tanzania connects you to government services; bill amounts and payment status come directly from the institutions that issue them.
