wedium - social social network

To create a Safe Account, a parent first creates and verifies a wedium account. They can then activate the Safe Account from their parent profile.

Welcome to wedium, the European short video app from Berlin! Discover inspiring creators, exciting stories, and new communities – on a platform where trust, creativity, and real people are at the heart of everything.

Whether it's cooking, knowledge, politics, sports, fashion, lifestyle, travel, or entertainment – on wedium you'll find content that inspires, informs, and connects.

What makes wedium special?

✅ Everyone can watch, only verified users can post

Just download and get started: You can watch videos, discover creators, and like content immediately – no verification required.

Only when you want to post or comment yourself do you verify that there’s a real person behind your account. This is how we aim to take space away from bots and fake accounts without making it unnecessarily difficult to get started.

Identity verification is carried out by WebID, an independent German verification service. wedium does not store any ID data.

💜 Creators and media earn fairly

Creators are what make social media possible.

That’s why 50% of net ad revenue goes directly to creators and media – starting with the very first post published.

Transparent. Fair. No complicated bonus programs.

🇪🇺 Developed in Berlin. Made for Europe.

wedium is developed and operated according to European data protection standards.
• GDPR-compliant data processing
• Data storage within Europe
• European data protection standards
• Content-based advertising instead of personal tracking
