Vigilo is an app for accredited election observers organized by CRTA (Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability).
You get an account from CRTE when you become an observer. You cannot register yourself in the application.
What the app gives you:
• Training: video lessons and quizzes that you go through at your own pace, with progress saved.
• Your polling station: schedule, shift, colleague at the polling station and your unique observer code.
• Reports from the polling station: forms that are opened at the specified times on the day of the election, with the possibility of photographing the minutes. The started report is saved on the phone until you send it.
• SOS: a button that sends your location to the CRTE security team with one swipe, which immediately calls you. During an alarm, the app sends the location and records audio and video as evidence, and when the phone is locked. If there is no internet, the application prepares an SMS. SOS informs the CRTE team, not the emergency services.
• Watch day security: When the security team turns on tracking, the app sends the location to the team in the background as well, and the team can request where you are now.
• Messages: coordinator and CRTE notifications, and as push notifications.
• Material download: by scanning the QR code, you confirm that you have received the election day package.

CRTE observers are instructed to approve all permits, because without them the SOS does not work properly; the app shows what's missing.
