XPipe Pro: Pipefitter Calc
ITJacob
XPipe Pro is a pipefitter calc — a pipefitter calculator that works out the numbers you need on the bench and draws the part they belong to. Every answer comes with a scale drawing of that exact assembly, dimensioned where you would put a tape on it — not a stock diagram of something similar.
35 PIPEFITTER CALCULATORS
Assembly and layout:
• Two half elbows in one axis — two half elbows in one plane, with or without an insert, solved six ways.
• Rolled elbow — a 90° elbow turned about its inlet and a fitting laying the run flat again.
• 3D — a run across X, Y and Z, both angles solved separately, with the box you measure drawn around the pipe.
• Elbow cut — an odd angle on an elbow: take-out, heel and throat arcs, chords, heights and the arcs to mark back from the face you have.
• Segmented elbow — a bend from straight pipe: segment lengths, saw angle, and the wave to wrap round the tube to mark the cut.
• Branch / fishmouth — one pipe into another, square or skew: length to cut, set-back at up to 24 stations, and the hole in the run.
• Eccentric branch — the same joint with axes set apart, each side marked on its own.
• Elbow support — a tube cut to stand under a bend, off a torus seat.
• Cone layout — the flat sector for a full or truncated cone, with sheet size, area and volume.
• Square-to-round transitions — twelve pieces off one construction, plus a pipe into a pyramid.
• Pipe bank — several lines offset together, each fitting held back so the spacing holds.
Shop and welding:
• Dished head — blank diameter and knuckle allowance for a dished head.
• Fillet weld — throat, leg and weld metal for a or z, so a6 and z6 are never mixed up.
• Reducer cut, purge gas, falls, pipe mass, pressure test, thermal movement, cold spring, weld prep, shrinkage, flange studs, support spacing, and a scientific calculator.
WELDER QUALIFICATIONS AND PWHT (NEW IN 2.0)
ISO 9606-1 and ASME IX certificates with their range worked out, renewal dates, reminders and a photo. PWHT under ASME B31.3: whether a weld needs it, the temperature and time, and which condition is missing to skip it.
PIPE ISOMETRICS
Draw a line as you set it out: a direction, a length, the next direction. Elbows and tees place themselves; add valves, flanges, reducers and supports. ISO 6412 symbols, elevations and centre-to-centre dimensions, a bill of materials, and a cut list that flags a take-out it does not know rather than guess it. Out as an A4 or A3 PDF, or a link another pipefitter opens.
A STANDARDS LIBRARY SEARCHED BY SIZE
Type a dimension on its own — 53 — and the library returns every standard that tabulates it, saying why: "in the table · DN 50 · Ø53 × 1.5". A drawing quoting DIN 2463 finds the ISO 1127 that replaced it.
98 standards across PN-EN, DIN, ISO, SMS and ASME, plus 239 isometric and drawing symbols, each drawn and explained.
FROM SCREEN TO STEEL
Cone, transition, branch and segmented-elbow patterns export at 1:1 — as DXF a plasma table opens directly, or as A4 sheets with a printed ruler, so a rescaled page is caught before the steel is cut.
WHY YOU CAN CUT TO IT
Android and iOS run the same arithmetic: 66,642 worked cases are checked figure by figure on every change, agreeing to one part in a million million.
MADE FOR THE JOB
• A spirit level built in, for when the real one is in the van
• Work sorted into jobs — one button makes a finished job a PDF sheet
• One backup file, iPhone to Android or back — no account, no server of ours
• Millimetres or inches everywhere, at the precision you choose
• Twenty-two languages, right-to-left Urdu included
NO ADS. NO TRACKING. NO ACCOUNT.
XPipe Pro asks for no permissions and contains no network code at all. Nothing is collected or uploaded, and it works in flight mode at the bottom of a tank.
XPipe Pro is the pipefitter calc that draws the part. It is a calculating aid, not a substitute for judgement or the drawings and standards a job is built to. Always check a figure on the steel.
