Land of Syllables is a well-thought-out educational game that teaches children aged 4-8 to read fluently without stress or the tedious task of putting individual letters together.
It's based on the syllable method (simultaneous-sequential) – recommended by teachers and speech therapists. Children don't speak in single sounds (no one says "M-A-M-A"), so learning in whole syllables is natural and faster for them, and immediately develops reading comprehension.
What's in the app?
Two separate modes: UPPERCASE and lowercase – you can start with uppercase letters (ABC), which are visually easiest for 4- and 5-year-olds, and then smoothly move on to lowercase letters (abc). Progress in both modes is tracked independently.
Over 30 voice-over readings – when you tap a word, the voice-over reads the text, and the app highlights the syllables as it happens. We start with simple sentences, gradually progressing to full stories.
9 engaging mini-games – connecting syllables, catching bubbles, or flying into space. Children learn hands-on, and for correct answers, they earn stars, which they can exchange in the shop for fun hats for their Monster.
Full Polish pronunciation support – all sounds, letters, and syllables were recorded by a Polish voiceover artist, ensuring clear articulation.
