Boo is back – and this time he wants to move his legs!
Jump with Boo is a platform game for children aged 3–7 that helps children to play around with language sounds, phonological discrimination, consonants and word building – in a playful and independent way. By swiping, children can let Boo jump between branches, clouds and space platforms, collect fruits and discover sound images. At the child's own pace, without time pressure and without mistakes – just encouragement and new attempts.
Five levels that follow the child's development:
• Sound Explorer – free exploration of individual language sounds
• Sound Hunter – auditory discrimination and targeted listening
• Syllable Builder – assonance of CV and VC syllables
• Minimal Mystery – phonological discrimination via minimal pairs (such as CAR–ARROW)
• Word Hunt – sound synthesis and sequencing: put together CVC words sound by sound
Learn by seeing and hearing
In Hoppa med Boo, the sound images represent the Swedish language sounds, and Boo clearly shows what happens with the mouth, tongue and vocal cords when he makes them. Boo's repetition of sounds and syllables invites spontaneous imitation and repetition, and makes the app work for phonological training even for children who cannot yet read. At the same time, phonological awareness is strengthened – an important basis for further pronunciation, language, reading and writing development.
Developed by a licensed speech therapist
The app is developed directly based on speech therapy experience of children with verbal dyspraxia and phonological language disorder, and has been tested by speech therapist colleagues in Region Västerbotten and Region Norrbotten.
Great adaptability
The adult can choose exactly which speech sounds should be included and adjust settings per level. In this way, both content and pace are adapted to the child's needs and conditions, which makes the app useful at home, at preschool and with a speech therapist.

Hoppa med Boo is an independent game. Ljuda med Boo is the original app where children and adults work freely with language sounds together - more open, less game. They complement each other well, but work separately.
