Useful features in the app
Via Mijn Toegang, anyone with a personal P- or E-pass can request access to other government buildings. Simply select the location and desired period and—depending on the location's access policy—you will either be granted immediate access or your request will be reviewed first, after which you will receive a message indicating whether your request has been approved.
You can also easily find the route to the location where you requested access using the navigation function.
A government pass that has not been used at a location for 35 days is automatically deactivated, a standard in the context of security. Five days before your pass becomes inactive due to this 35-day rule, you will receive a notification in the app. This offers you the option to keep your pass active. You will then no longer need to come to the office specifically to have the pass reactivated, a time-consuming process that does not align well with hybrid working arrangements. This is only possible if your pass has a valid status in the GCMS and you have an employment relationship with the government. At an increasing number of locations, you can make use of handy new features, such as operating lockers to store your belongings, and a pilot is currently underway allowing you to self-operate the bicycle key dispensing cabinet for a loaner bike. Additionally, you will find information about applications that almost everyone already knows and uses, such as requesting access yourself and secure printing and scanning. To get the most out of your Rijkspas and eliminate the need for duplicate tools, we are looking, together with the Central Government Real Estate Agency and facility service providers, at the needs and possibilities to make new functions available at more locations.
Safe and user-friendly. The App meets the requirements regarding information security, privacy, and digital accessibility. After downloading, you will be asked to enter some of your Rijkspas details and create a PIN code to be able to use all functionalities securely.
Employees of user organizations that are not yet connected to Generic Card Management can continue to use the IDT app for the time being to request access to other buildings.
