Juf Jannie apps
Short stories at AVI Start level, designed for children who are just learning to read. The words are short and pronounced exactly as they are written. Your child can get started on their own right away.
For whom:
Beginning readers in Group 3 who have just started "segmenting and blending." The wagons increase in difficulty, allowing your child to progress at their own pace.
How the app works:
The stories are contained in train wagons. Wagon 1 starts very simply — one word per page. After each story, the app asks two questions, which are answered by tapping on a picture. Both correct? Then the next wagon is unlocked.
The text is touchable. Is your child having trouble with a word? Tap on the word and hear how it sounds. This allows your child to continue practicing independently.
