SyncGallery: File Sync
M-Applications
SyncGallery combines a photo and video gallery, a full File Explorer, and flexible sync rules. You can review planned operations before the first sync, use ready-made setups for common tasks, or create your own rules when you need more control.
With SyncGallery, you can:
• Sync complete folders or selected files
• Back up your camera folder or any other folder
• Keep device and remote folders synchronized with two-way sync
• Quickly send selected files from Gallery, File Explorer, or any Android app that supports sharing
• Decide what should happen when files are changed or deleted
• Sync photos and videos only, include editing sidecar files, or use filename patterns for other file types
• Choose a schedule and set network or battery preferences for each rule
CHECK THE FIRST SYNC BEFORE ANYTHING CHANGES
Before a new or updated rule starts working automatically, SyncGallery shows you what it plans to do.
You can review every upload, download, modification, and deletion, check the source and destination, and adjust the rule if something does not look right.
Once you approve the first sync, future operations can run automatically. Conflicts and unusually large batches of changes can still be paused for your review.
You can also:
• Follow every upload and download with per-file progress
• Review completed, skipped, cancelled, and failed operations
• See where each file came from and where it was sent
• Choose the device version, cloud version, or keep both when a conflict happens
• Exclude specific files from synchronization
CONNECT YOUR CLOUDS AND SERVERS
Use the storage services you already have:
• Google Drive™
• Microsoft OneDrive
• Dropbox
• Yandex Disk
• Nextcloud
• SMB 2 and 3
• FTP and FTPS
• SFTP
• WebDAV
MANAGE DEVICE AND CLOUD FILES IN ONE PLACE
Use the built-in File Explorer to browse your device, SD card, cloud accounts, and network storage.
Copy, move, rename, and delete files and folders in the same way, no matter where they are stored. You can also follow the progress of every remote operation.
On wider screens, including phones in landscape mode, work with two File Explorer panels side by side and keep the source and destination visible during file operations.
GALLERY AND EDITOR INCLUDED
Browse and preview your photos and videos in the built-in gallery.
Crop and rotate photos, make adjustments, trim videos, and use background editing tools. Save a new copy, share the result with another app, or send it directly to a connected cloud location.
Batch-update media dates to restore the correct order in Gallery.
Files managed by your sync rules are marked with badges in Gallery and Files, so you can quickly see what SyncGallery is tracking.
WHY SYNCGALLERY NEEDS ALL FILES ACCESS
SyncGallery needs All Files Access so it can work with the folders and file types you choose, not only the photos and videos Android makes available to regular media apps.
This permission allows SyncGallery to:
• Sync folders in device storage and on an SD card
• Work with folders created by other apps
• Select individual files from any folder
• Include XMP sidecars and other related file types
• Search the device for matching photos and videos before downloading, helping avoid duplicates
Without this permission, automatic background sync across multiple folders cannot work as intended.
YOUR FILE TRANSFERS STAY PRIVATE
When SyncGallery transfers files, they move directly between your device and the cloud account or server you choose.
SyncGallery does not relay or store transferred files on its own servers.
SyncGallery transfers the current version of a file. It does not create version history.
