Tinsimu: Hinários do Nazareno
Tomas Mbandze
Tinsimu is the hymnbook of the Church of the Nazarene in Mozambique on your mobile phone — five books in one. It was born from a simple need: not everyone has the book on hand at the time of worship, and those who do don't always find the hymn in time.
It contains 1278 hymns from five hymnbooks, each in its own language:
• Tinsimu Ta Kutwanana (Xitsonga) — 280 hymns
• Praise and Worship (Portuguese) — 478 hymns
• Izihlabelelo Zokudumisa (IsiZulu) — 257 hymns
• Melodi ya Tumelo (Sepedi) — 230 hymns
• Simbani Mulungu (Cisena) — 33 hymns
WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
After the first opening, the hymns are saved on your mobile phone. In church, in the countryside, where the network doesn't reach — the lyrics are there. You only need an internet connection to receive new hymns. FIND THE HYMN
Search by number, title, or a piece of the lyrics you remember. In Xitsonga, Portuguese, or English, and without worrying about accents.
FOR SINGING AND LEADING
• Lyrics in the hymnbook's language, with Portuguese translations for hymns that already have them, side-by-side or one at a time
• Digitized sheet music for 210 Ntwanano hymns
• Projection mode, to display the lyrics on the church screen
• Starting tone, for those who raise the hymn
• Adjustable font size, and dark theme for evening worship
FOR WORSHIP
• Worship lists: gather Sunday's hymns in order and have them ready
• Personal notes on each hymn
• Favorites and history of what you've sung
• A hymn of the day on the home screen, and a widget to have it without opening the app
