Taza Air
Almaty Air Initiative
What are you breathing right now?
Taza Air displays air quality in Almaty based on data from the city's sensor network—in real time, by district, and near you.
Sensor Map
PM2.5 and Air Quality Index (AQI) data from physical sensors across the city. You can see where it's cleaner and where you should close your windows. Find the nearest sensor with one tap.
Allergens
Pollen levels by group: trees, grasses, weeds, mold. With precise species breakdown—ragweed, mugwort, poplar, birch. If you have allergies, you'll know about spikes before you feel them.
Your Sensors
Add stations near your home and work, giving them descriptive names. You'll receive a notification when the air quality deteriorates at these stations, with a threshold you choose. Set quiet hours to prevent waking you up at night.
Well-being and air
Tag down how you're feeling—cough, sore throat, headache, itchy eyes. The app will save your tag along with the pollution level at that moment and in that location.
Over time, you'll see your personal history: at what PM2.5 level does your well-being change? This threshold is different for everyone, and general recommendations rarely match it.
City Together
News and alerts from the Almaty Air Initiative. Air and health surveys with results for the city. Your tags contribute to research into how pollution affects Almaty residents.
The app was developed by the private Almaty Air Initiative. The data is for informational purposes only and does not replace a doctor's consultation.
