Navigator (VINARI+)
Nelson and Alice speak Georgian whatever the app language. Map, search, routes and voice are on the phone: no internet needed. Georgia's roads only. Without a subscription, hear both voices and take a demo drive.
Save home, work, Mum's, the village or the sea, then set off with one tap: a 4-second countdown starts the route unless you touch the screen. The voice names the place as you leave and arrive. Touch and hold the app icon to head home.
Lane arrows, the speed limit where known, and speed camera warnings from OpenStreetMap data, which may be incomplete; road signs come first. With the screen locked, the voice keeps guiding.
Now and then a joke, a story or a quote, never near a turn, each with its own switch. No route is ever built into Georgia's occupied territories.
OBD scanner (VINARI+)
Plug an ELM327 adapter into the OBD-II port. VINARI reads the check engine light, trouble codes, VIN, battery and readiness, then answers "Can you drive?" in plain words. Also live data, clearing codes and scan history. Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi adapters work. Engine and emissions only, not ABS or airbags; a mechanic has the final word.
Market price
Add a vehicle by VIN or by hand and see its value today. VINs are decoded on the phone, even offline; Japanese frame numbers work too. The figure is the median of live Georgian listings. If there are too few, the app says so and draws no median.
Customs and January 1 (VINARI+)
Enter the model year and engine size and get the amount in lari, with excise, duty and fees listed separately. The formula matched the rs.ge calculator in 29 cases out of 29 and works offline. Age counts from the year of declaration, so the amount changes in a step on January 1.
Deadlines and reminders
Inspection and gas cylinder dates are free for your vehicle. Insurance, oil and tyres go into the VINARI+ calendar. Reminders come seven, three or one day ahead.
Free widgets: the next deadline, your vehicle, the garage and a calendar on the home screen.
The QR card (VINARI+)
Print it on A4 and put it under the windscreen. Whoever scans it picks a reason and a notification reaches you. Your plate is nowhere on the card.
Auction damage history (VINARI+)
If the vehicle passed through a US auction, the VIN shows what was damaged, its title and when. The database is incomplete and the screen says so: "no record found" does not mean "never in a crash".
Trouble codes (free)
Type a code like P0420: what it means, what to check first and which mechanic to see. 9,533 codes, offline.
