SolarScope is a compact specialist app for radio amateurs and technically minded users who want to check solar-terrestrial conditions, propagation, and location-based values quickly, clearly, and without unnecessary detours. The app combines current measurement and forecast data with practical tools for mobile use and brings important information together in a structured interface.

At its core are solar, geomagnetic, HF, and VHF data that can be accessed directly in the app. This is complemented by Juliusruh ionosonde data, local trend views, and useful calculation and location-based tools. As a result, SolarScope is suitable both for a quick overview on the go and for more focused preparation and interpretation of radio-related activities.

SolarScope includes:
- current solar, geomagnetic, HF, and VHF values
- trends for solar and geomagnetic data
- Juliusruh ionosonde data and historical values
- local radio assessment for the current or a manually selected location
- ham converter tools for frequency, wavelength, power, distance, temperature, and UTC
- locator, QTH, and coordinate functions
- distance and bearing references for geographic comparisons
- optional altitude and location-based features
- place search and nearest-place functions

The app is designed to make technical information easy to understand and quick to use. Many tools work directly on the device, so essential conversions and helper functions are immediately available. For selected features, SolarScope accesses external specialist data sources to provide current values or geographic references.

Depending on the feature used, SolarScope uses, among others:
- HAMQSL for solar and propagation data
- NOAA SWPC for historical solar and geomagnetic data
- GIRO DIDBase and Juliusruh for ionosonde values
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap for place search and reverse geocoding
- Open-Meteo for online terrain elevation data

Location-based features are optional and only required for the relevant functions, such as altitude, current local assessment, or geographic reference. The app can also be used in general without granting location access. No user account is required to use the app.

SolarScope is aimed at users looking for a practical, focused, and fast app for radio, propagation, and solar-terrestrial data. Instead of overloaded menus or unnecessary distractions, the app focuses on what matters: technically useful information, clarity, and tools that are genuinely helpful in everyday use.

Whether you want a quick look at current conditions, a local location-based assessment, locator and QTH work, or technical conversions on the go, SolarScope combines measurement data, trend information, and practical tools in a single app.
