CBM Calculator is a utility designed to calculate the weight and volume of consignments. It helps users determine cubic meters (CBM) when shipping goods and quickly calculates how many products can fit in a shipping container.

CBM Calculation Formula
Length (in meters) × Width (in meters) × Height (in meters) = Cubic meters (m³)

You can input dimensions in meters, centimeters, inches, or feet, providing flexibility for different measurement systems.

All default dimensions are in centimeters, but you can adjust these as needed.

What is Volumetric Weight?
Volumetric weight is used to calculate freight charges for large, lightweight items. In such cases, the shipping company charges based on the space the item occupies rather than its actual weight.

International Volumetric Weight Formula:
(Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 5000 = Volumetric Weight (kg)

CBM Calculator allows you to modify the volumetric divisor (default: 5000) to suit different freight policies. After calculating the volumetric weight, compare it with the actual weight—whichever is higher will be used to determine the shipping cost.
