IMPORTANT: The NFC antennas on phones and transit cards interact differently, so it's important for the user to take a little time to find the optimal position between their phone and card. Most of the time, simply bring the card horizontally close to the upper back of the phone, where the camera is usually located, without touching it. However, touching the phone may also work. As soon as a red activity circle appears in the center of the screen, hold the card there for a few moments until it is read/written. If you are having trouble, you can also try holding the card against the back of the phone (touching it) before launching the app.

RECHARGE PROCESS: 1) Open the app, 2) Hold your transit card near your phone to scan it (do not remove it until you see a message confirming successful card registration), 3) DETACH THE CARD, 4) Pay for your recharge, 5) RETURN TO THE APP TO REGISTER THE CARD, 6) Hold your transit card near the back of your phone again (do not remove it until you see a message indicating successful registration), 7) Verify that your card has been recharged by scanning it again to check that the balance or the start/end date (for monthly passes) has been updated. If not, the transaction will be pending and you will need to repeat the registration process.

If any error occurs, or if the card registration takes more than approximately 2 seconds, or if you do not see the red activity circle in the center of the screen during card reading/registration, completely close the app, reopen it, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Never close the app after payment. You must return to the app once you have been authorized.

Only SUMA and ATMV time-based tickets can be recharged. EMT Bonobús, MetroValencia Bonometro, and Tuin cards cannot be recharged.

We recommend reading the user guide, which you will find in the app's menu. There you will find all the necessary information to get the most out of the "RecargaSUMA" service.

The "RecargaSUMA" app is approved by the Valencian Community's Ministry of Housing, Public Works, and Territorial Planning.
