HOW TO PLAY TONGITS
Each player receives cards and takes turns drawing and discarding cards. The goal is to form valid card combinations (Melds or Bahay), reduce the value of your remaining cards, and defeat your opponents.
During your turn, you can:
• Draw a card from the deck or discard pile
• Create card combinations
• Add cards to existing combinations
• Discard cards you don't need
• Call Tongits or challenge a draw when you have the right strategy
The winner is the player who gets rid of all cards or has the lowest total card points when the game ends.
CARD COMBINATIONS (MELDS / BAHAY)
A Meld, also called Bahay, is a group of matching cards used to reduce your hand value.
Common combinations include:
• Three of a Kind
Three cards with the same rank.
Example: 7♣ - 7♦ - 7♠
• Four of a Kind
Four cards with the same rank.
Example: J♣ - J♦ - J♠ - J♥
• Straight Flush
Three or more consecutive cards with the same suit.
Example: 3♠ - 4♠ - 5♠
Master different combinations and develop the best strategy to win each round.
