Ensemble Weather doesn't show you one forecast – it shows you all 51.
Classic weather apps display a single, seemingly precise number – "24° tomorrow". Ensemble Weather instead uses the ECMWF ensemble (IFS, 0.25° resolution): 51 equally valid model runs that reveal how certain or uncertain the forecast really is.
WHAT MAKES THIS APP DIFFERENT
• Temperature as an honest range (e.g. 24° ±3°) instead of false precision – the range is the actual spread across the 51 model runs
• Rain probability = the share of model runs that actually compute rain
• Thunderstorm risk (⚡ to ⚡⚡⚡) from real CAPE values, not just the weather code
• Visual warnings for thunderstorms, heavy precipitation, and storm gusts
FEATURES
• Forecast for your current location – the model is global, so it works anywhere on earth
• Add any number of extra locations, swipeable as pages, each in its own time zone
• Hourly forecast (48 h) and a 15-day overview
• Home screen widget with current conditions
• The app icon adapts to the current weather at your location
• Light and dark theme
PRIVACY
• No ads, no tracking, no account
• No backend server – data goes straight from Open-Meteo to your device
• Only the coarse location permission, and even that is optional: manually added locations work without it
