🎙️ About Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari (may God have mercy on him):
He was born in 1917 in the village of Shubra Al-Namla in the Gharbia Governorate of Egypt. He memorized the Quran at the age of eight and enrolled at Al-Azhar University to study the ten canonical readings of the Quran. He was appointed Sheikh of all Egyptian Quran Reciters in 1961 and elected President of the World Union of Quran Reciters. He was the first to record the Quran recited according to the Hafs 'an 'Asim narration and the first to record the Quran with instruction. He received the Order of Sciences and Arts and authored numerous works on Quranic sciences. He passed away in 1980, leaving behind a great legacy in service to the Book of God.
