In almost all municipalities in the Netherlands you are also obliged to clean up your dog's feces yourself and to carry a bag for this with you. Your dog must be on a leash everywhere. In the General Local Regulations, municipalities often indicate where your dog is not allowed to go. Many municipalities indicate that it is forbidden to bring dogs into playgrounds. There are also sometimes areas closed off to dogs. In most nature reserves, your dog is almost always welcome on a leash.
