Sinhala Korean Dictionary is a free offline dictionary and translator between Sinhala and Korean. Look up a word, hear how it is said, and read it in Latin letters. No internet needed.
Built for Sri Lankans living, working and studying in Korea, and for anyone learning either language.
WHO IT IS FOR
Workers and EPS employees in Korea, students, traders and business travellers, and Koreans working alongside Sri Lankan colleagues.
WORKS OFFLINE
More than 1,000 words are built into the app, covering everyday life, work, health, food, shopping, numbers, transport and greetings. Search works with no connection: on the bus, inside a factory, or at a clinic.
ROMANISATION ON EVERY WORD
Korean results show Revised Romanization (한국어 becomes hangugeo) and Sinhala results show Latin letters. You can say a word correctly before you have learned the script.
SEARCH THE WAY YOU TYPE
Type in Sinhala, in Korean, or in Latin letters. Searching for annyeong finds 안녕하세요.
TRANSLATE FROM A PHOTO
Point the camera at a notice, a sign, a payslip or a message. The app reads the Korean text and translates any line you tap.
SPEAK AND LISTEN
Search by voice instead of typing. Tap any word to hear it read aloud in Korean or in Sinhala.
CONVERSATION MODE
Pass the phone back and forth. You speak Sinhala and it reads out Korean; the other person speaks Korean and it reads out Sinhala.
