Hushu: Quran Audio & Prayer
OrniSoftware
Hushu brings the Quran together with its English translation, Arabic recitation and audio narration in one calm place. Prayer times, a live qibla compass, a tasbih counter and daily reflection live under the same roof.
THE QURAN BY HOW YOU FEEL
You can start without looking up a surah number or a page. Pick whichever is closest to you right now among calm, breath, patience, hope, loneliness, gratitude, acceptance and silence, and Hushu opens one verse for your day. Verses for each feeling are chosen by hand, not at random.
READ THE QURAN OFFLINE: ARABIC, TRANSLITERATION AND TRANSLATION
All 114 surahs are read in three layers: the Arabic text, a Latin transliteration and the English translation. Surah Yasin, Al-Baqarah, Al-Mulk, Ar-Rahman or Ayat al-Kursi are one tap away. This is a Quran app with transliteration you can switch on and off whenever you want, made for anyone still learning to read Arabic script. The text is stored on your device, so offline reading works with no internet at all.
QURAN AUDIO: LISTEN WITH ENGLISH TRANSLATION
You can follow the meaning with your eyes while you listen. The audio translation moves verse by verse with the highlight, so you never lose your place. Narration is available in four languages: English, Turkish, Spanish and French.
ARABIC RECITATION: 6,236 VERSES FREE
The complete Quran in four voices: Alafasy, Abdul Basit, Al-Husary and As-Sudais — you choose the reciter. With word by word tracking on, you see exactly which word is being recited. Whatever you mean when you say listen to Quran is here: a single ayah, a whole surah, or continue from where you stopped. This part is free from beginning to end.
CHOOSE YOUR TRANSLATION
You can change the translator while you read: Saheeh International, Talal Itani, Abdullah Yusuf Ali, Marmaduke Pickthall and J. M. Rodwell. Across six languages there are 24 translation sources waiting. Tap "What is this verse about?" and a short tafsir note opens, explaining the context in which the ayah was revealed.
PRAYER TIMES AND QIBLA
Prayer times for your location, the countdown to the next prayer, the Hijri calendar and the holy days. Choose your calculation method: Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, Karachi, Tehran or Diyanet. Set each adhan reminder separately, before, exactly on time or after. During Ramadan you follow suhoor and iftar from the same times.
The qibla compass works live; the needle turns as you turn the phone and tells you when you have found the qibla direction. No map needed.
DHIKR AND TASBIH
A tasbih counter to keep track of your dhikr. The counter is deliberately plain: it makes no claim about counts or rewards, and it sets no target for you.
SEARCH, SAVE, SHARE
If a surah or verse is on your mind, type it directly: "yasin 5" or "36:5" takes you straight there. Bookmark the verses that stay with you, sort them into collections, and share them as an image if you like.
THE 99 NAMES, REFLECTION AND MEMORISATION
The beautiful names of Allah with their meaning, root and the verses they appear in. Read what each name means, and in the daily reflection section think over verses under themes like life, death, justice, science and nature. In the learn section, prayers and short surahs are memorised with a gentle cover method.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
The prayer times widget shows the next prayer and the time remaining on your home screen. The live counter in your notification shade keeps running even while the phone is locked.
FREE AND PREMIUM
The whole Quran is free: the Arabic text, the transliteration, the English translation and the recitation of all 6,236 verses. Prayer times, qibla, the tasbih counter, the 99 names and reflection are free too. The only premium part is the studio produced audio translation, and you can listen to all of Al-Fatiha and the first 30 verses of Al-Baqarah before deciding.
No ads. No streaks. No badges, leaderboards or competition. Just you and the Quran.
