AZM Buddy is a field mapping and azimuth tool designed to help telecommunications technicians visualize, measure and document cell-site sector directions.

Place a tower center on the map, enter the desired sector azimuths and view S1, S2 and S3 over satellite, hybrid, street or terrain maps. Save each location as a Site Project so its coordinates, sector information, notes, markers and building outlines can be reopened later.

KEY FEATURES

• Display S1, S2 and S3 sector azimuth lines
• Enter sector azimuths and beamwidth information
• Measure a true azimuth directly from the map
• Search by street address, ZIP code or coordinates
• Center the map using the phone’s GPS location
• Use a standalone true and magnetic compass
• Compare a sector target with the phone’s measured heading
• Use Camera Alignment with turn-left and turn-right guidance
• View compass stability, calibration and interference warnings
• Save and reopen Site Projects
• Record antenna model, frequency band, mechanical tilt and electrical tilt
• Place site markers for towers, shelters, generators, gates, cabinets and other objects
• Draw, edit and highlight building footprints
• Move individual building-corner points for better placement
• View saved and available public tower locations
• Choose between dark and light interface styles
• Supports portrait and landscape operation

SITE DOCUMENTATION

Each saved Site Project can include:

• Site name and coordinates
• Sector azimuths and beamwidth
• Antenna and tilt details
• Site notes
• Custom map markers
• Building footprints
• Map and display preferences

PRIVACY AND STORAGE

Saved Site Projects are stored locally on the user’s device. Internet access may be required for map imagery, address searches and public tower-information features.

IMPORTANT ACCURACY NOTICE

Phone compass readings can be affected by nearby steel, vehicles, tools, magnets, electrical equipment and device-sensor limitations. Satellite imagery and public tower data may also be incomplete or outdated.

AZM Buddy is intended as a field-assistance and documentation tool. Critical measurements should be verified using approved equipment, established procedures and available site documentation.
