My Green Card Photo
Abdurahman Jarullayev
Take your Green Card (DV) lottery photo at home, with your phone.
The app guides you live while you shoot, then checks the photo against the U.S. State Department's published photo rules: head size, eye level, background, lighting and shadows, sharpness, glasses, hats, headphones, hair, expression, and other people in the frame.
You get a 600 × 600 pixel JPEG under 240 KB, ready to upload to the DV entry form.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Stand in a well-lit spot in front of a plain, light-colored wall.
2. The app tells you what to fix: distance, eye level, head position, lighting and background.
3. When everything turns green, take the photo.
4. See exactly what passed and what didn't. Retaking is always free.
FEATURES
• 13 automatic checks
• Free passport scan for DV-2027: the app crops the photo page, checks that it's readable and not expired, and saves a JPEG under 5 MB. Scans stay on your phone.
• A separate mode for babies and young children: several shots are taken and the sharpest one is kept
• Official State Department examples of good and bad photos, explained
• Check a photo from your gallery
• Save to your phone and share
• Expert review: a person checks your photo and answers within 24 hours
PRIVACY
Your photos and face measurements stay on your phone. No account, no sign-up. Works offline.
PRICING
• First photo free
• $2.99 per photo after that
• $6.99 for 12 months of unlimited photos (no auto-renewal)
• Expert review $4.99
Checking and retaking are always free.
