Dyreboka: Hund- og kattehelse
Lyssa AS
The Animal Book is a digital health book for dogs and cats, created by veterinarians and built around what is actually asked at the clinic: When was the last seizure, how much has the weight changed since spring, which vaccine is due soon. The Animal Book remembers this for you.
What it tracks:
- Period: average cycle, regularity and notification of the next period with a date window that you can put right in your calendar.
- Weight: quick weighings, food changes marked in the graph so you can see the effect, and trend over time.
- Stool and vomiting: The history the vet will ask about.
- Allergy: symptoms over time, including seasonal patterns.
- Heart and breathing: count resting frequency by pressing in rhythm, measured against normal values for dogs and cats.
- Diary, photos and documents.
What it gives the vet
Health logs can be exported as PDF. Bring it to the consultation or send it by email in advance. For the veterinarian, a neat seizure log or weight curve changes the quality of the decisions made, and that is the standard for which the reports are built.
When something is urgent:
- The veterinary map shows clinics throughout Norway, with search, "near me" and a direct link to the on-call doctor outside of opening hours.
- Chocolate calculator that uses the dog's weight and chocolate type, with advice for each risk level.
- Veterinarian-written mini-guides on acute conditions.
When you travel away:
Animal care instructions: Health status, emergency contacts, feeding, medications, activity and habits. Export as a PDF for the animal caretaker.
NOTE: The animal book helps you document and understand the health of your pet. It does not make diagnoses and does not replace veterinary care. The animal book also does not function as a vaccination certificate or passport.
