31DAYS is the revolutionary mobility challenge that proves: A month without your own car means more freedom, not less! This app is your personal companion during the 31-day challenge, where you leave your car at home and use alternative mobility solutions for free.
What is 31DAYS?
31DAYS is an award-winning sustainable mobility project that has already been successfully implemented in Winterthur with over 1,000 participants. The challenge starts in Basel in September 2025. Participants receive 31 days of free access to:
- Trial GA travelcard for unlimited use of public transport throughout Switzerland
- E-bike and bicycle subscriptions from Pick-e-Bike and Publibike
- mobilityEASY car sharing throughout Switzerland
- Access to e-Vespas and other mobility solutions
Your challenge app features:
- Daily tracking of your sustainable mobility
- Community features for exchanging ideas with other participants
- Tips and tricks for optimal use of mobility options
- Gamification elements and achievements
- Documentation of your mobility experiences
- Integration of all available modes of transport and services
Why 31DAYS?
With the 31DAYS Challenge, you make an important contribution to climate protection. In Basel, the transport sector is responsible for 23% of CO2 emissions. At the same time, you save money – owning your own car costs an average of CHF 7,000 per year. The challenge shows you in a practical way how diverse and convenient sustainable mobility can be.
A proven success:
In Winterthur, 563 cars were parked for a month, saving over 100 tons of CO2. Many participants have sustainably changed their mobility behavior and describe the challenge as enriching rather than depriving themselves.

This app is exclusively for official 31DAYS Challenge participants. You need an invitation from your local organization or city to register and participate in the challenge. Without official participation, you can download the app, but you won't be able to use all of its features.
