The stability and physicochemical compatibility of drugs used intravenously is of great importance in daily practice, as it can directly affect the safety of patients and the therapeutic efficacy of drugs. Due to this possible incompatibility and instability of the administered substances, medication errors can result.
The objective of this App is to be a quick consultation method on compatibility between drugs used intravenously and most frequently used in the hospital environment. In its preparation, the scientific bibliography mentioned has been reviewed, explicitly in each case, offering, for the moment, 1600 bibliographic references on compatibility and incompatibility of drugs, which allow their administration in a safer way.
The information on drug compatibility that appears in this app corresponds exclusively to that extracted from the reference bibliography mentioned in each case. That a drug does not appear in the list does not mean that it is compatible with other specialties. Only that there are no published data, or that these have not been used for the moment, for the elaboration of this consultation tool.
Warning: This tool does not provide medical advice. It is intended for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
