This is a free application that was created for the glory of God, with the hope that it will be a helpful audio and textual tool for following the Psalms of the Prophet David, in the context of the devotional life of Christians.

The audio of the application reflects the text of the Psalms from the Septuagint Translation (original, polytonic Translation of the Seventy). In addition, a parallel branch of text presents the corresponding (monotonic) translation in demotic Greek language, with an interpretation by Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia.

The design of the app is such that it does not require access to the Internet after its initial installation and allows the simultaneous reading of the corresponding texts of the Psalms during the listening.

Among the main features of its design are the ability to:
* Choose more than one collection (KATHISMATA) at a time for listening and/or reading
* Control the playback speed of the recordings and
* Choose the font-size for the texts of the Psalms, in order to facilitate the users, according to the device they use. This value is reflected simultaneously in the two text branches of the Psalms and is saved on the device, so that the users do not need to repeat the selection actions in future uses of the application.

The recordings on which the application is based came from video posts on the YouTube channel: “SPEECHES OF METROPOLITAN MORPHOU”, in which the nuns of the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos by Orounta, in the Metropolitan region of Morphou (Cyprus), read the texts.

The polytonic text of the psalms (in Alexandrian Dialect, according to the Septuagint Translation) is a product of personal recording and editing by Fr. Nektarios Mamalougos (http://www.nektarios.gr), who graciously provided it for the needs of the application.

The monotonic text of the translation into the demotic Greek language came from the work entitled:
“Psalms of the prophet and King David (in demotic language) With interpretation by Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia”, December 2011.
