Parking & Drive Away Reminders
Harpaz Doron
Drove off and forgot to end the parking? Never again.
Open RingGo to pay - the app notices and asks: "Watch your parking with RingGo?". Tap "Yes, watch it" and the watch starts.
Drove away? The app alerts you to check the parking is ended - no paying for a spot you left.
Open RingGo again at the end? One tap ends the watch.
Two taps: one at the start, one at the end.
A timer cannot know you drove off without ending the parking. This app can.
Plus: a time reminder, navigation back to the car, a photo of the spot and an emergency button.
AUTO-DETECTING YOUR PARKING APP
It recognises 23 parking apps - RingGo, JustPark and more. When one opens, a card appears over it within seconds: parking now?
- "Yes, watch it" - the watch runs as if you had opened our app.
- "Not now" - the card hides and returns next time.
Reopen it during the watch? The card asks: "Did you end the parking?"
- "I've ended it or will now" - the watch ends.
- "Ignore" - the watch continues.
App not on the list? Add it with one pick in Settings; it behaves like the others.
Auto-detection needs an up-to-date version and all permissions; complete them under "App permission status" in Settings.
THE ORANGE FLOATING ICON
During a watch, in other apps, the orange floating icon (the app's small icon) sits on screen, its ring alternating blue and white: the watch is active. A tap offers: stop the watch, open the app, or put the icon back. Drag it anywhere; it stays there next time too.
THE DRIVE-AWAY ALERT
Only when you are far enough away AND the phone moves at car speed - walking never triggers it.
On the car's Bluetooth, the app tries to play it on the car speakers, so you hear it while driving.
THE TIME REMINDER
Meter, ticket or your own time: set the paid time and how early to remind you; the phone says when time is running out. It runs on a clock, not location, even with the screen off - to spare you a fine.
With a parking app you can add it too: a double watch, driving away and time.
MANUAL START
Or start from the app: next to the car, tap how you pay - parking app, meter or ticket - and start the parking in your parking app as usual. Our app can stay closed; the watch runs in the background. Done? Tap "Stop watching this parking".
BACK TO THE CAR
The spot is saved; a tap navigates back - Google Maps on foot, Waze by car.
A PHOTO OF THE PARKING SPOT
In a big car park GPS does not say "level minus 3, pillar J". Photograph the pillar or sign - the photo stays inside the app only: not in the gallery, never sent to us.
WHAT THE APP NEEDS
Android asks for each permission separately; the app requests only those your way of parking needs. Without them reminders cannot arrive. Settings shows what is missing and takes you there.
MESSAGE FROM THE DEVELOPER
A personal message may await you: a flashing pink bar on the app screen and on the card over the parking app - "You have a personal message — tap to read". A tap opens it without leaving the parking app. Reading a personal message from our server notifies us; general or app-written ones don't.
EMERGENCY CALL BUTTON
One tap lists your preset helpers, one per row; another opens the dialer with their number, or a WhatsApp or SMS pre-written with your location. You call and send. It reaches only people you chose, never emergency services.
Alerts on the same screen work before anyone answers: steady light, flashing light, siren - each toggled with a tap.
WHY THIS ONE
- Free trial: a month or 15 watched parkings, whichever comes first, no credit card. Then one payment - yours for good, no subscription, no recurring charges.
- A forgotten open parking can cost more than this app. One parking fine - far more.
- Six languages - Hebrew, English, German, Spanish, French and Italian - text and voice.
GOOD TO KNOW
- The app only reminds. You end the parking in your parking app - we don't, and cannot know if you did.
