Liturgia Kids
Daniela Rodrigues dos Santos
Liturgia Kids is an app designed for young explorers of faith, offering playful and safe activities that combine entertainment, creativity, and Christian values. Children will find two main ways to play:
Puzzle assembly: Each new image features a religious drawing—for example, a biblical scene, a saint, a parable, or some liturgical element—divided into pieces. The child drags and fits the pieces together to reconstruct the complete drawing, developing logic, motor coordination, and attention to detail.
Coloring: After assembling the puzzles or directly, the child can freely choose drawings to color—a varied palette, brushes, some simple effects—all with Christian themes (for example, children praying, church symbols, Mass, saints' feast days). This activity encourages creative expression, recognition of religious figures, and provides quiet moments of reflection and connection.
Key Features
Child-friendly interface, soft colors, and large elements for easy touch.
Image gallery with age-appropriate religious themes, organized by categories (saints, Bible stories, celebrations, symbols).
Simple parental controls: ability to choose the difficulty level of the puzzles (fewer or more pieces), access to the gallery, and usage time.
Progress system or light rewards (e.g., completing a puzzle or coloring a drawing unlocks a new image or earns a stamp/star), providing positive encouragement without pressure.
No intrusive ads or impulse purchases (ideally) — focus on a safe environment for children.
Ability to save or export colored drawings (for printing or safe sharing) and completed puzzles.
Offline use possible (depending on the version) for times when there is no internet — great for travel or time away from home.
Benefits for children and families
Combines fun and learning: children are occupied with games, but at the same time come into contact with images, stories, and symbols of the Christian faith.
Aids in cognitive development — puzzles promote logical thinking, fine motor coordination, patience, and persistence; coloring encourages attention, creativity, and color perception.
Provides moments of calm and reflection: when working with religious themes, the child may feel invited to recognize symbols of faith, ask about saints, stories, or values.
Tool for family bonding: parents or guardians can participate together, talking to the child about what appears in the app (who is the saint in the image, why this scene is important, etc.).
Safe environment for children, with age-appropriate content, avoiding violent or out-of-context games.
